With a Bachelor of Zoology and Animal Science from Deakin University, Shakira brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for animals to our team. She's been a part of the Fur Life family since the opening of our Highton location, having previously worked under Apiam since 2021.
Shakira's passion for animals extends beyond her work at Fur Life. For the past two years, she's dedicated her time to volunteering at Werribee Zoos Victoria, where her commitment and love for wildlife shine brightly. Recently, she's even secured a casual position there, furthering her journey in the field she's truly passionate about.
Outside of the office, Shakira has her adorable dachshunds Storm and Willow, and Luna the beloved kelpie who lives with her family back home. When she's not busy cuddling her furry friends, you'll find Shakira indulging in her hobbies—spending quality time with friends, embarking on exciting holidays , shopping and attending concerts and music festivals.
